The Magic Garden Project was established as a volunteer-run organization seven years ago after a group of like-minded individuals got together to create and maintain an organic garden and vegetable patch at Larkman Middle School, Norfolk, Norwich, England UK, with the direct involvement of the children.

A nearly $6 million gift - the largest individual donation ever given to Illinois State University - will create a sprawling garden that will showcase nature and serve as an outdoor classroom for horticulture students.

The garden will feature a variety of flowers and trees, including woodland wildflowers and a Japanese garden, along with streams, ponds, sculptures and stone walkways.
